Hello!

My name is DingBo Miao, and I hail from Lanzhou, China, a city known for its breathtaking rainbow mountains and beef noodles.

My design journey began at Shanghai Dianji University (SDJU), where I completed a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design between 2015 and 2019. During this time, I discovered a deep passion for brands.

As someone constantly brimming with ideas, I resonate deeply with my school's visiting professor Christian Cruz, who once called himself a "24-7 designer" – that's definitely me!

Throughout my studies, the success of my graduation project – awarded "National Golden-Thill Bicycle Design" with a financial prize of 5,000 yuan RMB and recognised as an excellent project in 2019 – further reinforced my commitment to the design field.

Following graduation, I spent nearly five years honing my skills in Shanghai and Europe (Vilnius). I served as a graphic designer for different companies and design studios, mainly responsible for branding marketing and visual design projects.

My skills and passion encompass a broad spectrum of design disciplines, including brand design & strategy, branding, user experience design, symbolic systems, design anthropology, design thinking, experiential graphic design, and design psychology & philosophy.

  • Led and independently designed Environmental Graphic Systems (EGS) for over 10 diverse projects at AODesign Shanghai.
